Who We Are
ARCHIPAT is a design-driven, purpose-led architecture studio based in Kigali, Rwanda, working across Africa and beyond. We operate at the intersection of architecture, equity, and environmental justice to co-create spaces that empower people, respect place, and respond to urgent social, climatic, and cultural transitions.
What We Believe
We believe that architecture is more than just buildings. It is a tool for healing, resilience, and community transformation. At ARCHIPAT, we prioritize "living better with less," valuing humility, dignity, and care in every project. We champion design as a social act, one that uplifts voices, reconnects communities with their environments, and honors the wisdom embedded in local materials and techniques.
How We Work
We work with - not just for - the communities we serve. Our process is deeply participatory, rooted in listening and co-design. From early ideation to post-occupancy, we center people's lived realities, ensuring each project is tailored to local needs, climate challenges, and cultural identity. We balance creativity with pragmatism, and innovation with tradition.
What We Do
We design spaces that are resilient, regenerative, and inclusive from community hubs and health centers to adaptive housing, innovation labs, and public spaces. Our work integrates architecture, climate adaptation, health equity, and circular economy principles to support thriving communities and sustainable territories.
